Becoming independent..

I would say, it has been a memorable day today. In term-time I normally stick to the school-home schedule, but today I had to make my way to North greenwich. Didnt have a clue where it was, apart from that, thats where I had to register for the B-MAT exam (entrance exam for medicine). Usually when planning to go somewhere far, My sister normally plans the journey a week ago through the tfl website, always rely on sis for these things. But this time, I had to do it all on my own and only had a night to do this . I was a bit nervous about it coz wasnt sure if I will end up in the right place. It would have been all right if didnt have school today, but unfortnately it was one of those days where i had three lessons.
Nevertheless, it all turned out well, I got to the place on time and the registration process only took me about 2 minutes. I rushed back to school, still missed maths :( and managed to attend my 2nd and 3rd lesson:). hurray..lol

Back to Posting!

Hello there,
Been quiet a while since i've posted anything...guess I was busy with exams and my application for unis! Actually I expected the process to be very complex, but thanks to my teachers, mentors and ofcourse friends who gave up their time to read my statement and make valuable comments. Eventhough I had to do about ten drafts of the personal statement and think twice about what to include and what not to!.. And the process is now nearly over, hopeful my referee will send it off tomorrow as she has promised :)...Still no relief! sooo..Scared whether I'll get positive responses from the universities...Along with this, I have to do the entrance exam as well which I am not looking forward to..going through tough times :(

Good luck to everyone applying to unis, this year!!
Hope you all make it :)

Examsssss :(

At the moment, there is nothing else I can talk about, not even about vijay's recent release Kuruvi which I was going to watch on the first day as I have been doing for rest of his recent films, but I reluctantly had to say no to my friends. Though, I have to say I think the film is going to do well, especially the songs, very peppy , as usual vijay's dance is also awesome which I saw in one of the video songs when I was randomly browsing. As you have already guessed, of course it is all because of the upcoming exams. It doesnt mean that I am revising 24/7, well not even half of that. The amount of time I spend thinking and worrying about exams exceeds the time I actually revise, well I guess its nature, inevitable. Also it is so hard to memorise these difficult terms, especially in biology things that can be so much easier, why does gap between plant cells have to be called 'plasmadesmata' why not just 'holes' simple as!.. it seems as if they purposely make everything difficult.

I usually only work one or two days a week ina pharmacy, 3 hours a day and most of the time even less than that but for the last three weeks I had to work three days ( which doesnt really help..in terms of my revision) since three of my collegues are on holiday. And it is not something I particularly enjoy, eventhough I dont really do much except taking prescriptions in, making sure they are signed, window display (which I hate doing) etc.. Also I find it quite tiring as I have to do it straight after school , so I didnt even attempt to revise during those days. However I am glad to say that throught it I have gained a lot of experience, improved some of my skills and learnt a lot about people and life which I can use when writing my personal statement to universities.

Anyway, coming back to the point, from this week I have decided to not work and concentrate more on exams and make the most of the extended weekend due to the bank holiday. But already I am spoiling it by blogging and doing everything that I am suppose to not do. It is not very easy to keep away from the computer and stop watching some of my favourite shows..eventhough it is only temporary, but I think I am going to have to sacrifice it all in order to get some revision done!!!

And I wish all of you who are taking summer exams the very best of luck!

A Day to remember!

Despite the amount of revision left to do; as its easter holidays my friends planned to have a day out-also a good opportunity to meet up. Amongst a lot of suggestions such as harvester, ice skating, sutton etc. We all decided to go to kingston- pizza hut for lunch and as the shopping center in kingston is massive it cannot be missed. According to the schedule we are supposed to meet at 1 pm at the pizza hut. Unexpectedly and strangely it snowed! which I certainly didnt believe when mum said while I was still in bed (Snow in Spring!!) but when I looked out of the window I couldnt stop jumping up and down in joy! :D (Global warming is definitely showing its effects!) This meant that our 'day out' is in a big question mark because I didnt think people would risk the cold. Nevetherless all nine of us ended up getting on the same bus (coincidently) as you can imagine, the journey to Kingston was just fun as we all managed to make the maximum amount of noise in the bus. When we finally got to Kingston we hardly saw any snow as all melted due to the heat of traffics (its a huge shopping centre what else to expect!) I knew I was missing out on playing with snow but I was indeed having a lot of fun with my friends.

By the time we all finished eating, it stopped snowing :( and it was just the right weather for shopping eventhough it was getting colder as snow melted. Sadly we only had an hour for shopping because it was already 3.30 pm when we got out of the restaurant and I had to get home before 5 pm (mum's strict order!) not long at all, especially for shopping! However we ended up looking at few shops and by then we were all too tired to walk around. Therefore we had no choice other than to get bus back home. Funny that when we saw a bit of snow on one of the parked car, we got soo enthusiastic and started to have a snow fight but it didnt last long as we couldnt find no more snow :(
It was altogether a thrilling day, I throughly enjoyed the whole time and will sure remember for a looong time!!

Easter holidays!

Here I am, back again with something to share with you.

Travelling, its something I love and hope to do in the near future, well in about 7-10 years time! Always wondered what it would feel like to be in a totally different environment, new language, atmosphere, food and of course people, away from home, experiencing something completely new. I should say, its my dream and ambition too, well for now...

Whilst I am looking forward for those days, despite the pressure of the forthcoming exams and coursework deadlines ( almost the crucial time of my life so far) I will be going over to southampton (my sister's place) during the easter holidays, unfortunately just for 3 days. Sothampton is totally different from London, very quiet, less populated and hard to see tamils around which I noticed on my last visit. Hopefully my sister will give me a grand welcome (lol) and I'll be enjoying my time over there exploring the beauty of southamptom as well us shopping.

I'll of course be blogging when I get black to London about the whole experience..until then, have a nice time! :)

Intro...

Blogging is not something I always wanted to do since I am not a creative person, however I guess its a good way of sharing thoughts, opinions and experiences. Hopefully you'll all enjoy reading my bloggs and posting feed backs. Looking forward to writing...bye tc
